"Come to me, all you that are weary
and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; For I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
" —Matthew 11:28-30
The Fr. Gabriel Richard Lectures
Fr. Gabriel Richard was one of the co-founders of the University of Michigan as well as pioneer priest, educator and statesman. The Fr. Gabriel Richard Lectures, named for him, are designed to help students and community members enrich their understanding of the Catholic faith. Distinguished speakers share their insights on prayer, moral life, social justice and contemporary theological issues.
Some of the lectures are also available in mp3 format on our web site. If you want to listen by either streaming the lecture or downloading the file, please check out our podcasts page.
You also can download the complete brochure with information on the Lectures for 2009-2010
